Hai! So BreyerFest over 2 weeks away! I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED! Breyerhorses.com has posted a official program to BreyerFest. It has all the info you need. It has schedules, model prices and more! I'm sorry but she will not be part of my collection. Do you think its too much??

Breyerfest Q&As! :)

Hey there! SOOOO sorry I haven't been on. Anywho! On my Instagram (lovebreyerlove) People have asked me for tips for Breyerfest and it reminded me to do something on my blog. Here are some Q&As

Q) How much money should I save for Breyerfest?
A) Well $400-$700 is best. If you save more GREAT!! But if you save less to may not be able to get all that you want.

Q) What should I bring?
A) There is a lot of thing you should bring actually. I'll name a few.

BREYERS! For showing, trading, selling, or showing off! ;)
Water! It's going to be HOT so you need water.
Comfy shoes. You'll be doing a lot of walking so bring some comfy shoes like tennis shoes.
Money. Of course!
An empty duffel/beach bag. You'll need to put the Breyers you buy in something!
Camera. For taking pictures with.
Sunglasses. For protecting your eyes from the sun DUH!
And your life necessities like Pillow, blanket,clothes, shoes, tooth brush and paste stuff like that

Q) Where should I stay?
A) Well the best places are The Clarion Hotel and Embassy Suites BUT they're all booked up. There's numerous places to stay in Lexington like The Mariott Griffon Gate Hotel if you want something less fancy and expensive try the Travel Lodge

Q) What are special runs and how do they work?
 A) Well special runs are models that they only have a set amount of like 750 or something.
It's hard to explain how the work but I'll try.
So you get a SR (special run) ticket with your regular ticket. It has a number on it let's say 23 and a time 10:30am. There is a tent at BF that the SR's are held.Note. GET THERE AT LEAST 15-30mins BEFORE YOUR SET TIME!!! they have a ton of numbers in a container (including yours) they reach in and pull out a number and it's 24. So 24 is in the front of the line for the SRs. Next is 25 then 26. 27. 28 and so on. Once the highest number gets in line its starts from 1 again. So if you are 23 you are LAST in line. You can only get 2 SRs by the way!

Q) How to I get my Celebration model?
A) There is a booth where they hand them out. It's open Friday and Saturday. Don't go on Friday because it is WAY to hectic and there will be a LOOOOONG line.

New Breyer models-Opinions

A lot of you may have seen Breyer's 2014 releases. Here are some of my opinions on a few.



                        Mu Wen Ma.
I think he is very unique!  I love the wooden look. I already love this mold, but the wooden paint makes me love it more!



                       SBH Phoenix
I am so excited about him! I love the Othello mold, but all of them are so expensive! I'm happy I will be able to get one in that mold for less the $60.



           Chinese Year of the Horse
Like the mold. Flat out dislike the rest.




                     GVF Sjokolade
I dislike everything about him. He looks like a Schleich.



                         Shire Mare
I don't really like any of the vintage models.

Be Creative!-Breyer barn edition

A lot of people ask me how to get their Breyer to look realistic without paying to much. here are some tips!

1: In your stalls have REAL shavings! You can use some that are used for a real barn or a pet. Maybe even throw in some clay or dried play-dough to look like poop.

 2: For the horse feed you can mix some random NON-SPOILING grains/sugars. I mixed rice, sugar, flax seed and corn flour. You shouldn't have to pay for something that works the same as something in your kitchen already! I made the scoop out of a soda can and wire!

3: For hay nets you can use some empty onion or orange bags, and put some dry grass or actual hay in it.

4:For grooming kits, rather then paying $12 or $15 dollar for one, make your own! I used a toothbrush for a brush and some wire for a hoof pick. I can remember what I used for the other brush. I just found it and was like "Hmm.. What can I use this for?" 

5: Why pay $12 for a saddle stand when you can make a GREAT one out of Popsicle sticks???
And why pay $20 for a saddle when  you can also make one? (I'll do a tutorial later on for saddles)
